thank you all for all your replies.
that's wat my frz told me, normally they will just put oil to remove the sound which does not solve the problem.
he asked mi to insist for a replacement if the problem come back again before the warranty is over, because the cost of changing shaft is few thousands dollar.
my gf also facing the same problem in the pasts. she said the sound will get louder n louder if u ignore.
i did some google search on this n found this msian forum for latio.
1. Knocking sound while turning steering (Nissan would replace coupling, FOC, it's a manufacturing defect)
=> These symptom starting to occur slowly. I getting to know more and more latio's owner having the problem when turning the steering.
=> Solution. They complaint it to TCEAS and they replace the whole steering rod which they ordered from japan/thai. Once replaced, some 100% solve and some still claim got sound - but softer. So far, I have not encounter these problem yet *touch wood*.http://www.motortrader.com.my/asp/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=32368񲮗pmet: is steering coupling the same as shaft coupling or etc? sorry, not really gd with the name of the car parts
