From what I know about additives is that they only help you to clean your engine while burning and does not help us improve FC in any case...

Perhaps the additives are there to improve performance of our rides... correct me if i'm wrong, anyone?

waseh, 280kPa will be very dangerous for cornering isn't it?

i thinking pumping to the recommended one should be ok... what are the people's opinion abt this? I seriously think its a lil dangerous for 280...

Yes, with the correct pressure, my FC is much much better compared to the previous under-inflated tyre. now its running near 14km/l

I only use fuel system cleaning additive once just before my 40k servicing. I feel the car is much more responsive for the tank mix with the solution. I did not monitor FC anymore as my driving pattern is very extreme, 8~9km/l is normal to me but one tank can last 3 weeks.

I know using Vpower(98) will not have better FC reading than using Esso 95. ECU tuning should improve FC a bit.

I just start to use a GPS, after a few daily trips, the trip data shows I idle 25% of my total driving time. Imo planing the route with less traffic light and avoid traffic jams is what we can do to improve FC. My overall average speed is only 32.8kph

Newest update of my car performance.

Previous: tyre @ 135kPa, 115kPa = 11km/l

NOW,

tyre @ 235kPa, 215kPa = 15.66667km/l

Driving style: 70% HW, 30% city. light-footed, morning journeys to work = no aircon.

weird, after i put in the additive the car din really perform as much more as what i thought it would be. On the contrary, FC went up by a lot.

it used to run at 13-15km/l, now its running at 10.3 for 2 tanks already.

the additive i used is STP. Is there anything that i did wrongly... hmmm

Wah...if your tyres is 3 yrs old and was under-inflated for long period it might be damaged or bruised internally within the tyres oredi...

I suggest you seriously consider changing it soon with the rainy monsoon coming...we shouldn't skimp on tyres...
After spending the $50+K our family lives basically depends on just that 4 shoes pads to stop a car at 90Km/hr...

I remembered my Toyo tires skidding after about 20k km on the PIE under rain at 80km/hr.
Fortunately the car in front was several car lengths as i am basically a safe driver (i.e., my FC is at 15km/L)

Good tyres grip is not a luxury...it is an insurance for your safety.
I don't like to throwing money on insurance - but i know my family needed them.
Just look at the extreme - the horiffic crashes at NSH due to burst tyres...so many lives lost.

OK, take care now...

Your right foot pressure on the accelerator is very important.

I'm using the flasflo EO from TCM and I always prefer to pump 20L, instead of full tank. Tyre pressure is around 245 (front) and 225 (back). I can achieve close to 17km/l or 330 - 350km before the fuel tank empty light lid up
