I keep going down to workshop, waste time, waste petrol (because everytime i send car to workshop, when i collect the car, the fuel needle always drop substantially but mileage run only like 10km).

Haiz!

Wah. i also kena this problem when i take my car in for servicing. drop substantially for me was 1/4 tank. move 7km on the mileage.

Starting I also heard that sound
Later about 1 week air con not cold
2 possiblibility : Gas not enough or gas leak
After top up gas , till now about 3 week still cold
If gas leak, very fast not cold already  ::)

seems like this is a common thing.
same for me. 3.5 yrs old and they asked me to change fan coil. kiv compressor
total 2.3k!

i would like to start a note to Tan Chong. I think they should not sell such a short life span product.
btw i called mark cool aircon and over the phone, they quoted me 680 for fan coil.
680 for compressor

I think we just need someone to initiate the petition to TC.

I just changed my fan motor. Car 3 years old.

Didnt know that they do not have aircon specialist in TC.

TC usually quote double compare to outside. if you know the SE well, they may recommend some outside workshop they know of. TC quote compressor for 1.2K, outside can get 600.
TC SC not like last time, I personally think that not only air con. a lot of others area also.
My wipers judder problem, they change 2 x times wipers within a month, but still the same problem.
a small rubber with double sided tape drop off, they told me it is just an additional part. at the end, I found and ask them to fix it.

I'm wondering too.. $600 could be a refurbish one, probably taken off from another car.

Just to revive an old topic a bit...

My aircon had some problems, was not cold at all.
Went to autoaid for help, the mechanic checked everything and said that everything is fine. The magical part was that he stepped on the accelerator with the car in stationary position and the aircon started working.
Anyone face such problems before??

he told me that I set the aircon temperature(26 degree celsius) too high, advised me to set it at 23 to 24 degrees Celsius.

The mechanic told me that it could be due to the aircon compressor not working at 100%. a change of aircon compressor might be  good.
was quoted $580 by Autoaid for aircon compressor change including labour costs.

overall good service by Autoaid actually, they charged me nothing for the work done yesterday.

most likely will go back to them for any help on my ride.

if the mech at autoaid says the compressor is fine, you might want to drive around somemore, if set at 24 degrees can solve your problem, my opinion is dun waste $ changing the compressor unless it is nccessary.
