why standard and not premium models?

BTW, checked with BT branch, if get car manufacturing in last year DEC, have 1k discount but limited based on the color left over. so is about 55K.

If want the color that was no stock made in Dec, then has to top up.

Hi all,

New to the Latio club, my missus and I just bought a Latio standard sedan today too. OPC, 37.2k including the following thrown in:

1. Latio premium package (leather seats and sports rim)
2. Free service 2.5 yrs
3. Solarfilm
4. Door visor
5. Rubber mats
6. Vanity mirrors for sunshade

I'm also wondering why standard and not premium? I'm currently having second thoughts and considering upgrading to premium model, because I like the CVT transmission over standard A/T transmission - but this will mean topping up ~3k...any opinions on this forum?

p.s. Also did not intend to buy Latio initially was only checking out Nissan showroom for fun (after visiting others like Honda, in Jalan Ubi) - but the space and test drive won me over! :D

I had owned and driver many cars >10. Latio is value for $$$ and shared the same platform with the Renault Clio. Take a look at the new Honda Jazz 2008 and compare. Btw, if possible go for the bodykits or at least the lip spoiler. The car looks nice with these, otherwise look bare. Tried to squeeze your SE for the arm-rest if you are going for the 4AT model. If not, tried to negotiate for the arm-rest at say $200. Till now, I still regretted not getting the original arm-rest which costs $500 then, should be cheaper now.

I was told by the SE that I will get the discout about 4K from Nissan and 1K more discount if I selected the stock that was manufacturing in 2007 Dec, of course provided the color are available.
Any big issues found in this batch manufacturing in Dec 07?

I am one of those who booked the discounted 2007 latio, to me it is very good value for money as it is a true Japanese made car. The ride changed my impression of the car, it was very continental feeling driving it and best of all, the engine was very silent, insulation is indeed superb. Btw I test drove many cars and still fell in love with the latio.  :)

The car I booked was a Dec 2007 model too, from TCM in Ubi. They were giving a 5.5k discount on this batch, and an additional 2k discount if we use their in-house financing and insurance. The SE that dealt with me is Candie Tan, she was very willing to throw in lots of freebies.

I am quite happy so far with TCM's service, particularly the SE, will definitely recommend for anyone looking for a latio.

I think normally takes at least 5 working days (secure stock, installation of accessories/freebies, insurance, loan & LTA paper work).

My SE said will take about 2 weeks to do all the necessary paperwork (chassis registration, etc). Wonder if it can be quicker...

congrats!  i'm quite surprised that TCM can bid so high (more than 4k increase of coe).  really a good deal! i booked mine just before cny this year.  although the coe is almost the same as the previous, many of us still lost the bid.  don't understand...
