wat is the "correct feel" after a change in EO from minerals to synthetic?? I tot Eo suppose to be "thick" (maybe feel sluggish) so that it will protect the engine?

Thickness of engine oil depends on the rating - '20' is thinnest and '50' is thickest.

Thicker better for protection but engine will become more sluggish and affect FC.
As long as use engine oil within the recommended range in the manual can already. Rest is up to you.
My preference is 5w30 but TC give free 40 or 50 with my npmp. Once in a while, I bring in my own 5w30.

30 or 40 for new cars.

40 for cars from 4 to 5 years onwards.

50 for cars above 10 years.

Is it worth it to sign up for TCM NPMP package of S$1,019? They said the price will be up soon. They said we don't need to change spark plug until 100,000 km and no need to change timing belt at all. They will change (for FOC) brake pads (front: S$114; rear: S$88) and drive beltings & pulley bearing (S$100). Is it worth it? How much to do those outside since major parts no need to change (timing belt & spark plug).

Dear all,

I am going for my 40000km servicing...

Not sure is worth to sign up NPMP?

http://www.nissan.com.sg/service/plans.cfm?go=npmp2

The price is now S$1091, not S$1019 already.

Hi all

I saw this various Packages on nissan website.

http://www.nissan.com.sg/service/price1.cfm?pkg=C

Service Package C, price is S$422, for mileage 40k, 80k & 120k

Worth?

Or sign up NPMP is more worthwhile? Will 1091 is net price for 4 servicing?
