Comparing MOTUL with AMSOIL, which is better  :confused1:

It really depend on individual, for me, I may considered Motul abit ex and overkill for our Latio. Normal Shell Helix or Mobil 1 Gold is sufficient for my daily usage. It the same logic as to pump 95 or 98 kind of question.  :D

0w30 might be too thin at low temperature lor, stick to 5w30 for 3~4 year and change it to 5w40. not a problem to change it to different grade, off course not changing it every EO change lah!

Bro...5W50 is not recommended for new car...only use on car 5 years above. please don't change your latio to 5W50 you will regret after changing it..coz FC definitely up and engine become heavy due to thicker oil. Te meaning of #W## is 1st 2 digit represent oil visco at low temp and last 2 digit mean oil visco at high temp. Anyway our latio recommend at 5W30. Wait no more buy your own oil to TCM for your nxt sv. I'm using MOTUL engine oil at 5W30.....superb after the change out from mineral.

hi ultramax

i try to learn by heart abt this #W##.

#W##
1st digit = oil visco at low temperature
last 2 digits = oil visco at high temperature

1) for new car , what is the best #W## to use?
2) for 6mths old car
3) for 1yr to 2yrs
4) for 2yrs to 3yrs
5) for 3yrs and above

for new car, if our FC is lousy, what EO shld we use?

for new car, if we want our FC to improve, what EO shld we use? of course must not 'burden' our engine also...

pls highlight.

thank u.

Definitely MOTUL

Actually, Amsoil vs Motul, if Motul is better, but the price is almost double for 4L of EO?

For new car, can use Motul also? After 10,000km?
