Wow,,...39 litre for 710 km..that is 18 km/l sia....
how u get it??
not 18 yet lah. 17++ only. I am one of those 80 kph drivers on the expressway. No aircon in the morning. Got aircon also 27 degrees. Strictly below 2500 rpm. Minimal acceleration and braking.
I sustained around 17.25 for 2 years. Now change job 60HW 40 and my wife drives to work in the morning so FC drop to 16.7 liao. Once in a while when she is not so much in a rush still can see the 17 lah.

27 degrees setting for thermostat is very hot, you know?

I set 25 also so hot, so I set it at 24 now which is just right.

looks like there is 1 conclusion, 4AT confirm can achieved much better FC than CVT.

Nah......Its all in the right foot. I tell you Sunny can reach 17 km/l you won't believe (not me... my ex-colleague).
And to fuel the debate further... I am on Fastflo and Mobil 92.

Your ex-colleague's Sunny must be the pre 2000 model to achieve 17km/l.

Hi,

I was told by the SA in TCM, Toa Payoh to set my air con temp to either 25 or 26 degrees.

When my fuel needle hit the 1/4 mark, I already travelled 370km.

How come your mileage is so bad?

What are your travel habits?

Rev  a lot?
For me, travels around 400 km (Caltex RON 98) befoe needle hit the 1/4 mark. Have toned down the power of my right foot, really see the improvement.  Haha.

I pump Caltex RON 95 this time round and use the same driving pattern to compare the result with RON 98.

Rgds

I have a friend who regularly gets 17+km/L on his 5MT Sunny as well.

My Latio's lifetime FC is breaking 18+km/L. CVT. Best ever tank was 22km/L. Route and driver dependent.
