I was referring to the fuel pump in your Latio.

If not how is your petrol going to flow if there is no pump? Cannot depend on gravity for petrol to flow out.  :D

hi clarence

i see. your knowledge abt car is good. i am a novice. i apologize.

i still don't know what is that.

bro,
for a fuel line system, we got fuel filter, fuel pump to transfer the fuel to the injector and those tubing for supply and return....sometime for those old car, the fuel filter needs to be change just like air/oil filter....

Aftermarket product like fuel regulator etc etc is to regulate the pressure of supply line...

hi z

that is too chim for me liao :(
thanks for your points.

I second this information ... last week i just went in and had my tank filled to a 3/4 first, +/- 1 % from the gauge, then i pump another time to make sure that I have 3/4 after the traveling from SengKang to 2nd Link (woodlands jam from onemotoring)

the differences is only about another 12 dollars, which is about 5+litres

I usually will drive till reserve light up and  most of my fillup is about 38 litres

so technically we have about 7 litres of reserve but please bear in mind that the design usually have about 2 litres of buffer and our fuel pump will have difficulty draining the remaining 2 litres, thus we will be only able to travel for about another 4-5 litres.  ;D

but i seldom do that as I do not want to stop my car waiting for help ...

Hi 553,

Question: Are you related to 883?
Just kidding.

Well, I don't think is worth to go JB to pump petrol then come back to SG.
Unless, you are going to Msia for a short trip, at least half to 1 2 days. Otherwise, it is not worth at all.

1) Jam when you go? Enjoy
2) Jam again when come back
3) 3/4 tank b4 you exit
4) Pump abt 1/2 tank before you back to sg (still worth?)

Msia inflation is much higher than SG, I believe for shopping, SG would still be offering the cheaper  price for most of the products.

My 20cents.

Regards.

hi z

it's ok, my fault, not you.

i tot RAM = Random Access Memory mah. After you restart the computer, the things will be gone. Well, your RAM is wood block to raise the car.

OMG. Thanks for the clarification. You are a nice guy. :)

tuner mean?

Tuner means the 2 radio "button" that an be tuned...kekekeke...

nah...tuner ...i was  referring to those car modification...eg piggyback, chip la..or ecu programming. those after heavy or ligh mod., they tune the ecu to suite those mod to give the  best optimun result..

hahaa, bro ... apologize as i'm sqeezing too much informations into the same reply and thats might be the reason causing the misunderstanding ...

firstly, i'm not related to whatever ... 883 ... 1234567890 ...  :bleh:

and i too, agree, that just by going in to pump is not so worth for myself (not speaking for anyone else) as i dont enjoy the jam, thats why I frequent 2nd link even thou it is further ... mostly for business, makan sutra, meeting kakis, going for trips to kulai, genting, KL, Klang or even hatyai ... and also to clear carbon ...  ;D

How come your mileage is so bad?

What are your travel habits?

Rev  a lot?

lol,

thats the point many ppl here are trying to relate to ... FC topic is subjecive, for me, is ok if my FC is within my acceptable range, dont wanna give up my ICE for FC, ICE more important to me ...  :bleh:

as for the 1 ton, i think the first to remove is myself ... weigh about 0.1 ton lor  ;D

hmm ... yep ... i rev alot ... and my traveling is mostly city area, only 20% HW... the only problem is i though with my driving habit, latio can help to minimise the useage, but ...

my wife say if i drive latio also only 300 - 400, might as well drive a rex or MPV ...  :D

anyway, just went to JB yesterday with my friend to bridal shop, then eat and jalan jalan ... i pump full to go in but never check ...   :glare:
